The California Literature Experience has set up a special screening of the movie "In The Valley of Elah." the screening is to take place in Barnum Hall this upcoming Thursday, December 6 at 6:00pm, followed by a brief Q & A session at 8:30pm. Admission is free, however a permission slip is needed due to the films "R" rating. (See Link)
The film is written and directed by Paul Haggis (Crash, Casino Royale) and addresses the complex emotional consequences that come with war, as well as the the impact of the war in iraq on the American family.
Be sure to catch this thought inspiring film if you have the time on thursday night.
